We have a user that uses ARD to install their software, but still needs to touch each machine (plugins) and user account (database upgrades) for his usersĮxtensis allows us to write to a plist at /Library/Application Support/Extensis/įirst attribute would be silentDBUpgrade -bool (true | false). SCF7/8 is the glaring example of a package we cannot perform silently.

We managed multiple customers via JAMF who have their SCF licenses and we install and update their software for them. We have one customer using JAMF that has a very geographically diverse workforce and performs all installation and configuration remotely. With the inevitable SCF9, can Extensis consider those customers and/or MSPs that have to deploy their products in mass? My question is twofold.Īre there any mass deployment guides, strategies, tip or techniques? There seems to be nobody on jamfnation that has figured this out and every deployment option (unless AppleEvents is enabled), requires user intervention for upgrading the database as well as addressing the plugin installation dialog. We have quite a few JAMF customers and have been looking for some sort of mass deployment option for SCF7 and now SCF8.

I have even tried reinstalling windows as well as both (Adobe/Extensis) programs with the same results. There is absolutely no reason for me to experience delay like this.

I don’t get it, I have an extremely fast PC with 32GB ram, NVME and solid-state hard drives, and a quad-core processor running at 4.5Ghz. Typing a single letter can take 5-10 seconds to appear. Making simple text selections can take 5-10 seconds. I highlight some text, open the drop-down font list, start looking for a font and randomly the font list will close, sometimes even applying fonts I have not selected.Īnother scenario, after making a text selection, I will start to type the name of the font I am looking for and half way through typing the name of the font the menu will auto-close it will now be editing the text I had selected instead! Not sure if these are a Suitcase Fusion issues or Adobe Indesign issues but I’d like to know if anyone else suffers from them or has solutions.Īutomatically applying/comiting changes to font selections prematurely. Suitcase is on version 6, what can I do to resolve this? as it was working fine before I updated the OS or CC so it is one of those two things that caused the issue. This is causing a loss of speed as we have multiple files and versions of fonts per day.Īt present no updates to other programs seem to correct the issue, I have a late 2013 iMac operating on High Siera 10.13. Now when this happens, in order to get the unactivated font into indesign, or illustrator, I have to entirely restart indesign or illustrator, and then activate the font, and then open INDD/AI. Previously if I opened an indesign doc and it had the version I don’t have activated, I could go to suitcase and activate it, and it would ping into the doc. But the issue is, at my agency we have multiple version of the same font, say Helvetica. Once I click install the fonts all work as normal. The two plug ins are: 490 leading to the file APS// extensions localized (this one is related to Illustrator) AND 17.90 leading to the file cs6/plugins/fontactivation (this one is realted to indesign)

It then has a long list of plug ins installed, most of them say installed and are greyed out with a tick in the box, on two of them however they are highlighted with blue ticks and you have to click install. it then refers me to /usr/bin/corecli (no idea what that means?) What happens is when the computer restarts Suitcase opens up and says to contact my system administrator, plug ins can’t work. I have had this problem since i updated from os el capitan to the high sierra os and latest version of CC a few months ago.
